Swing Dance Workshop: Free Intro for Culture Days

Cat's Corner invites you to a free swing dance initiation as part of Culture Days. This workshop is open to everyone and designed to provide the essential basics for social dancing, whether at Cat’s Corner or any other venue featuring jazz, swing, and blues music.

Program

During this session, you will discover the joy of dancing socially to swing music. You will learn:

• Basic steps for the dance floor, including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Jig Walk, and Swing Walk.
• Fundamentals of the history of jazz dance culture.
• Tips for navigating social dance events.

Important Information

• No prior experience or partner is required.
• Please bring comfortable indoor shoes.
