The Flow of Casino

Unlike styles that move along a linear track, Cuban Salsa—often referred to as Casino—revolves around circular movement. Dancers circulate around one another in a fluid, continuous motion, emphasizing intricate arm patterns and a playful connection to the rhythmic accents of the music.

The Social Experience in Montreal

The local scene in Montreal centers on collaborative movement and spontaneity. Whether you are dancing with a partner or joining a group, the atmosphere is informal and welcoming.

Core Elements

• Rueda de Casino: A signature group formation where participants dance in a circle, executing synchronized moves called out by a lead dancer, often involving rapid partner switches.
• Rhythmic Improvisation: Rather than adhering to rigid choreography, dancers interpret the music through spontaneous movement and individual flair.
• Community Focus: The social structure encourages interaction between all participants, making it common to switch partners and engage with the wider group throughout the night.

If you are looking to join a session, bring a sense of curiosity and an openness to movement. The priority here is the interplay between partners and the collective energy of the room.
