Milonga Solidaire: Tango and Poetry for the Wichi

La Tangueria de Montréal hosts a solidarity evening to support the Wichi people of northern Argentina, who lack access to safe drinking water. The organization Marita Solidaria, which assists these communities, requested this fundraiser.

Program

• Tango and poetry dance evening hosted by DJ Paul Montpetit.
• Appearance by singer Leïla Chaska.
• Appearance by Innu poet and filmmaker Joséphine Bacon.
• Photographer Luis Rokeach will donate two of his works, which will be auctioned during the evening.

• Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Admission

• Entry fee: $20.
• Cash only.

Cause

All funds raised during the evening will be donated to the Wichi to help finance a second drinking water well for their community.
