What to expect

• The Atmosphere: Expect a relaxed yet attentive environment. Dancers navigate the floor in a counter-clockwise flow, valuing connection and shared improvisation.
• The Music: Expect sets of music, known as 'tandas'—usually three or four songs—followed by a brief 'cortina' pause to allow dancers to rotate partners.
• Social Etiquette: The scene is built on mutual respect. The 'cabeceo'—a subtle nod or eye contact—is the traditional, low-pressure way to invite someone to dance, making it an accessible experience for newcomers.
