Varennes joins the Journées de la culture from September 25 to 27, 2026, with a free program for the whole family featuring performances, creative activities, local heritage discovery, and meetings with local artists and authors.

Friday, September 25

• Library: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Meet Amer Rust
• Espace des Bâtisseurs: 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Jazz pop show

Saturday, September 26

• Library: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Kitbashing workshop
• Outside the library: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – L'Arrivée des opossums
• Espace des Bâtisseurs: 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Cultural hobby discovery, cultural organization open house, and swing dance

Sunday, September 27

• Outside the library: 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. – Musical picnic; 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Author talk with Simon Boulerice; 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Participatory artwork
• Various: Three performances of the show Plaf! and BaladoDécouverte cultural circuits

• Throughout the week: A creative booklet is available in municipal buildings. A prize draw will be held for participants who share their creations.
• All activities are free of charge.
