Brazilian Zouk Lambazouk in Drummondville

What is Lambazouk?

Lambazouk is a contemporary partner dance that blends the flowing, close‑body connection of Brazilian Zouk with the upbeat, rhythmic flair of the Lambada. It is danced to a wide range of mid‑tempo Latin and Caribbean music, often featuring smooth vocal lines and steady percussion.

How it feels

The dance emphasizes fluid body rolls, gentle hip movement, and playful footwork. Partners move together in a relaxed yet expressive way, allowing both lead and follow to add personal styling.

Where you’ll find it

Lambazouk is common in social‑dance nights, workshops, and festivals that celebrate Latin and world‑dance styles. Beginners are welcome; most events offer a short introduction before the floor opens.

What to expect at a Lambazouk event

• A warm, inclusive atmosphere where dancers of all levels mingle.
• A brief starter lesson covering basic steps and connection.
• Plenty of space to explore improvisation once the music starts.
• Opportunities to meet other dancers and exchange tips.
